If someone had told me that I would have been able to combine my two loves, cats and the sea, I wouldn’t have deemed it possible. That’s until I met Moira of course. For two and a half years, Moira was my company during my daily swim. She was the ultimate definition of quiet power. You would rarely hear her voice, but she made her presence and demands known, in the loudest way possible. Just by looking at you. She loved to rest by my side under the beach umbrella but then gave into a playful dance at sunset. She had the kindest little face full of curiosity and a slim silhouette that looked like she was dancing rather than walking. She was the best mother to her twelve beautiful kittens, that continue her legacy and beauty. I will never understand how or why her life was cut short so soon but I will always cherish the time I had with her and the lessons she taught me. Oh so quietly.
