Sheila was such a gentle soul… She had suffered a lot, mistreated by soldiers in a camp, until she was rescued at about three years old and then lived with us for around 15 years. She was wonderful, kind, and affectionate. And she too was from Lemnos (what a coincidence…). My husband rescued her while he was serving there.
